Tea, Cake and Death

I was once told the most important threshold we will step through in our lifetime is our own death and yet despite it being the one event that will happen to all of us, our deaths are a topic most people never talk about. Death, and in particular our own death is a subject we are told that we should not talk about for many reasons - because it is sad, or uncomfortable and so on.

But what really happens when we do not talk and explore death and dying is that we give away our autonomy to a 'Good Death'.

Tea, Cake and Death events are a space where we can start normalizing conversations around Death and Dying and pull this taboo subject from the shadows into the light. Which is an important step in reclaiming the rites we have given away around our death and our dying time.

To bring  conversations around Death out of the shadows we have to start making spaces for the conversations to be welcome - come along and join us.

Our next event is

Sunday 29th January 2023

2pm - 4pm @ Rural Space, Pimhill, Shrewsbury Shropshire.

Cost - £20 per person,  including Tea or Coffee and delicious cake.

At this event we will be joined by a very special guest speaker -  the Wonderful Alexandra Grace Derwen who is the coFounder and Director of Sacred Circle Training CIC and the Author of 2 amazing books, Lost Rites: Ceremony & Ritual for Death and Dying & Community of Grief.

This will be a wonderful, soul nourishing afternoon and a rare opportunity to have an in person audience with Alexandra.

You do not have to be in your dying time or have a terminal diagnosis to attend, these are open to everyone who wants to talk or has a curiosity about Death & dying.
